Thursday night four blue 50-foot-wide Burberry signs were the latest lights added to the New York night sky.
The signs are on top of Burberry’s new midtown Manhattan U.S. headquarters at 444 Madison Avenue. Burberry along with several celebrity guests (including members of the Gossip Girl cast) celebrated at the Palace hotel (where Chuck and Serena live!) .

There’s nothing like a good TV marathon to get you through a holiday Monday. There are several today but, here are my top choices.

One of the other lady networks, WE, is thanking us for being a friend with 19 hours of the Golden Girls starting at 10 a.m.
A&E will air Intervention starting at 8 a.m. leading into the new season premiere at 9 p.m.
You can also catch Jon and Kate Plus 8 all day long on TLC leading up to their 9 p.m. season premiere. No doubt this premiere will set a new record for the show. Every one and their mother will be tuning in to see if and how the pair will address the infidelity rumors and other troubles in their marriage. This season should just be Jon and Kate! I’m an Ugly Betty fan but can admit the show isn’t what it once was.
Last night’s finally felt a bit long – maybe because it was TWO HOURS and there were no big surprises.
One moment stood out as particularly whack. When Henry, back in NYC with his new aerobic instructor GF, and Betty are discussing their complicated post-relationship feelings, Betty says of her attachment to Henry, “Maybe it’s because you are my first love.”
One problem… Betty was in a relationship for several years before she ever even met Henry. Back when she was still rocking the Guadalajara poncho, Betty dated geeky Walter – her high school sweetheart and Pro-Buy employee.
Walter was extremely annoying, intimidated by Betty’s “new life in Manhattan,” and going nowhere. That said, I find it hard to believe Betty didn’t love him. She went ape when she found out he was messing around with block hoochie Gina Gambarro.
Come on Betty writers! Step up your consistency game.
Jennifer Hudson came in second on the Forbes Top-Earning ‘Idols’ list. In addition to income from her album sales, concerts and movie roles, Hudson, who will star in the upcoming film, Winged Creatures, made money through endorsement deals with Avon and the Gap.
While the Oscar and Grammy winner earned an impressive $5 million last year, the number one Idol earner, Carrie Underwood pulled in almost three times that.
Cutie Jordin Sparks, who is currently touring with the Jonas Brothers and contemplating getting serious with Steph Jones, came in fourth with $3.1 million.

Voiceover actor Wayne Allwine died this week due to complications from diabetes. He was 62 and was the voice of Mickey Mouse for 30 years.
His widow, Russi Taylor, is the voice of Minnie Mouse! What a sweet couple.
I’m sure Allwine, who was just the third person to ever voice Mickey, will be missed.

Mariah Carey announced the name of her upcoming album today via Twitter.
The post read, “Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” Its very personal & dedicated to u.”
Mariah “tweeted” Tuesday during a studio session with Timbaland. This is bad news for Mariah’s “My Love” collaborator The Dream who said earlier this year he was hoping to produce the entire album. According to The Dream, the two have completed several songs for the album originally, dubbed MC3.
Last week, Chrisette Michele had the number one record in the country and set a record for both herself and SoundScan. At 88,000 units sold, Epiphany was Michele’s best debut as well as the lowest number one debut in SoundScan’s eighteen year history.
This week, Chrisette as well as Ciara, who came in a disappointing third last week, slid several slots. Sales for Epiphany were down 65% dropping the critically-acclaimed album to No. 8. Ciara’s Fantasy Ride just made it into the top 10 with 26,000 sold.
Rick Ross with Deeper Than Rap was sandwiched between the ladies at No. 9, down four slots from last week.
Overall, critics gave high marks to all three projects and the artists, particularly Ross and Ciara, have been in super promo mode appearing everywhere. The reality is music sales are down significantly – more than 20 percent compared to this week last year.
