Yes, she did.

While promoting her film Precious at the Toronto International Film Festival Mariah was asked about her “performance as Eminem” in the “Obsessed” video. Mariah responded, “I was not him. That had blonde hair. I wasn’t petite.” I think she just called him “that” too.

In another recent interview on French radio Mariah said, “I don’t know that is,” when asked about Shady.

And Em’s uber gross diss song? “…I don’t know if somebody wants to write their little songs. I haven’t heard them on the radio, I don’t know what’s going on with that,” MC quipped.

I doubt she’ll be asked about Eminem when she appears on Oprah today to show off the fabulous throwback hair, perform, and promote Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.

I Can Do Bad All By Myself

Tyler Perry’s eighth film, I Can Do Bad All By Myself, was number one at the box office this weekend, bringing in $24 million. TP proved once again that he is recession-proof, critic-proof and had a solid opening weekend during what is usually a ho-hum box office weekend.

lego

Warner Bros. and Sherlock Holmes producer Dan Lin are developing a live action / CG movie based on Legos – a truly classic toy.

According to Risky Biz Blog, the film is “set in the world of Lego that centers on the idea of achild-like imagination and examines themes of creativity and teamwork in the manner of Toy Story.”

I’m there.

I was literally a baby when most of John Hughes best films were made. As a kid, those movies helped shape my idea of what being a teenager was. (Although most of the time that just meant making me think, ‘Man, white suburban kids must get away with everything!’

The father of the original Brat Pack, Hughes wrote, produced and directed sooo many 80s classics including “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “Weird Science,” “The Breakfast Club” and “Pretty in Pink.” He died from a heart attack.

Molly Ringwald, the Queen Brat, said of Hughes, “He was and will always be such an important part of my life.”

“I really have no preference, though. Nationality is nothing. It’s all about the girl – but she has to be curvy!” – Daniel Radcliffe

When asked by the NY Daily News about the type of woman he prefers – American or British – Daniel Radcliffe replied that it’s the curves he cares about not nationality.

This reminded me of something that stuck out to me about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It seems color may also make no difference to Daniel Harry Radcliffe Potter. In the beginning of the film, Harry flirts and makes plans with a lovely young black woman – with a natural. This, along with the above comment leads me to the conclusion that Harry, I mean Daniel, no Harry – whatever – likes black women!

Black girl nerds everywhere rejoice!

*Side note: Ginny Weasley also has a brief interracial romance with classmate Dean, who is black.

Voiceover actor Wayne Allwine died this week due to complications from diabetes. He was 62 and was the voice of Mickey Mouse for 30 years.

His widow, Russi Taylor, is the voice of Minnie Mouse! What a sweet couple.

I’m sure Allwine, who was just the third person to ever voice Mickey, will be missed.

Despite bad reviews, and worse styling (really with the curly red weave?), Obsessed came in on top at the box office pulling in $28.5 million in the U.S. this weekend. Fast & Furious held on to the number one international spot.

I’m sure all the Beyonce stans and fans out there are responsible for the success of this PG-13 rated “suspense thriller.” This is Beyonce’s first non-singing leading role and co-star Idris Elba said it was hard to connect with the mega star because of “the machine” around her.

Hopefully “the machine” is encouraging her to work on her craft because – what are we seven movies in? – the critics are still not loving Beyonce, the actress.

However, she did look faboosh at the film’s premiere, rocking a strapless Balmain mini-dress with sequins (she is Beyonce, after all) and a train.

In other movie news, The Soloist starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey, Jr. came in at a disappointing No.4. Downey’s reviews are a lot better than Foxx’s. Sad, considering he got so into portraying the schizophrenic violinist that he needed therapy.

Check out Beyonce on Larry King after the jump.
