Nick Cannon posted these photos of his wife Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj on Twitter today. The shots are from the filming of the “Up Out My Face” remix video. It seems this may be the first single from Mariah’s Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel remix album due in February.

In other Mariah news, “We Belong Together” was named Song of the Decade by Billboard.
So, Mariah shows up to a promotional event to promote her album in a Phantom decorated with decals of her album images. Of course, people start hating. When a “diva” promotes her album, she must be an egomaniac. Hmm…
Yes, she did.
While promoting her film Precious at the Toronto International Film Festival Mariah was asked about her “performance as Eminem” in the “Obsessed” video. Mariah responded, “I was not him. That had blonde hair. I wasn’t petite.” I think she just called him “that” too.
In another recent interview on French radio Mariah said, “I don’t know that is,” when asked about Shady.
And Em’s uber gross diss song? “…I don’t know if somebody wants to write their little songs. I haven’t heard them on the radio, I don’t know what’s going on with that,” MC quipped.
I doubt she’ll be asked about Eminem when she appears on Oprah today to show off the fabulous throwback hair, perform, and promote Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.
Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon stepped out a few days ago and something was very different yet very familiar about Mariah.
Mariah’s back to rocking the same darker curly hair she had when she released her debut album, Mariah Carey. The tight black dress is also a throwback look. Did she do it “for the nostalgia?” (one of her catch phrases)
I’m hoping she’ll keep this look for all of her appearances promoting Confessions of an Imperfect Angel. And speaking of her promo appearances, Mariah will be sitting down with Oprah on September 18 during her first week back!
It was easy to see Mariah Carey was emotional when she took to the stage at Michael Jackson’s memorial Tuesday. Some (haters!) felt the beginning of “I’ll Be There,” which she sang with the homie Trey Lorenz, was not up to par.
Given that she’s one of the few artists with success comparable to MJ’s and has been in the game for almost twenty years, isn’t she at that level where people should just shut up and be happy she showed up? She’s Mariah friggin Carey, check the resume!
Mariah took to Twitter to discuss her performance, apologizing for the rough start. She didn’t know MJ’s casket was in the building until she walked on stage and was caught off guard. For the record, I thought the performance was moving.
* Random Detail: Mariah, who almost always performs with a pink rhinestone mic, rocked a black rhinestone mic for the memorial – subtle and sweet.

That’s Mariah as a man (Eminem?) in her upcoming video for “Obsessed.” There’s also this photo of her dressed as a chauffeur, leading me to think (hope!) Mariah may be playing EVERYONE in this video. There were already rumors her bitchy alter ego Bianca, from the “Heartbreaker” video, was making an appearance.
Mariah also appears as herself in the video.

Mariah’s clearly going at Eminem in “Obsessed” although I’m not sure he’s the only one – I guess we’ll have to wait for the biography.

News also came today that Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel will drop August 25th!!
Mariah’s new single “Obsessed will hit radio in less than two days and details about the song and video are popping up all over the internetz teasing fans – like me!
Here’s what we know… or think we know:
1. Mariah’s evil alter ego Bianca, who first appeared in the “Hearbreaker” video 10 years ago, may appear in the video.
Mariah allegedly told this to a fan via Twitter direct message.
2. The song just might be an Eminem diss record! The-Dream, who’s been working on Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel with MC, had this to say about “Obsessed” when he spoke to HipHopDX:
“I don’t think anybody is going to expect her to come out punching like she is going to come out… It’s going to light the blogs up too because you don’t know who she talking about, what she talking about, but she talking about something… somebody’s going to be very upset.”
3. It’s for the summer. Here’s how Mariah described the track – “an uptempo fun summer record… different for me, but clearly,its SO me!”
4. The video may be directed by Brett Ratner. This one also allegedly came via Twitter direct message to a fan. Mariah and Ratner have collaborated in the past on “Heartbreaker”, “It’s Like That”, “We Belong Together”, and most recently “Touch My Body.”
5. Gucci Mane will appear on the remix. In a radio interview with Gucci Mane, the rapper said he’d been in the studio with Mariah working on the song.

Mariah’s been in the studio with The-Dream and Timbaland and recently tweeted that “Obsessed” was one of her favorite songs – ever!

Mariah Carey announced the name of her upcoming album today via Twitter.
The post read, “Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” Its very personal & dedicated to u.”
Mariah “tweeted” Tuesday during a studio session with Timbaland. This is bad news for Mariah’s “My Love” collaborator The Dream who said earlier this year he was hoping to produce the entire album. According to The Dream, the two have completed several songs for the album originally, dubbed MC3.
